May 11th is the first day of the Anchorage Farmers Market!

Here is what we'll have:

Vegetables:

Potatoes - German Butterball, Red French Fingerling, Yukon Gold, Magic Molly purple, Huckleberry (red flesh), Yellow Finn, Pimpernel - loose and in 5 lb, 10 lb. and 20 lb. bags.

Greens - Arugula, Lettuce, Basil

It's planting time!

Vegetable and flower seedlings, whose varieties are well-suited to Alaskan growing conditions, i.e. long hours of daylight, northern soils, and the short growing season ($2.50 per cell pack, or $28.00 per 12 cell packs).

Potatoes for planting, including Yellow Finn, Pimpernel red, German Butterball, etc. ($1.69 per lb.).

Tomato plants - many Siberian types bred for growing outdoors in the far north, and classic greenhouse types as well - 3' plant in gallon pots ($15.00).

Hanging baskets ($35.00)

Fertilizer blends (2.00 per lb.), Fish bone meal ($1.50 per lb.).

Apple trees, hardy for successful growing in Alaska ($60-$125). Varieties include Norland, Oriole, Parkland, Hyers 12 & 20, etc. $15 per extra graft on multiple variety trees.
